 Research

  • Subscription Databases

  • Open Source Databases

  • Websites

Research Databases hold a collection of reputable sources that included journals, magazines, newspapers, primary documents, images, videos, etc. that help students with topics they are researching.

Many libraries subscribe to these important databases.

Regina Dominican subscribes to the following databases and each have different sources and are useful for younger or older high school students.

  • Gale Database consists of two databases, which are simpler and easier to navigate and understand the material. One contains pro and con material and the other database contains content relevant to high school students.
  • JSTOR Database  is for upper high school and college students as the information are mainly peer-reviewed journals with scholarly and often scientific information.

  • EBSCO Database  has been provided to all Illinois school and public libraries through a generous grant by the State of Illinois. You will find many different types of databases on all subjects.
